Client Testimonials

"I have worked with James from Sedx for a number of years and he has addressed my Sixth form each year on a range of topics including sexual orientation & sexuality, consent and hazing. James is great, he is down to earth, relatable and addresses complex issues in a straightforward manner. He has worked with us to address issues that we feel are important and adapts his sessions to our needs. We will undoubtedly use Sedx again next year."

The Howard School

"At The Howard School, James and SedX’s contribution to RSE is an integral part of our school life. James delivers sessions to our Year 9-13s on topics which are age and stage appropriate and students really value his open, warm and informed approach. Having recently been awarded ‘Exceptional’ for Personal Development, James and our RSE programme (which we collaborate on together ensuring it meets the needs of the students in front of us) is a vital part of our curriculum and having already worked with him for 4 years, we continue to evolve RSE as cohorts and their needs evolve. New and updated topics are required as technology and the world changes and in the future, we also intend to deliver stage appropriate sessions to KS3 as we continue to drive an informative RSE approach wanting our students to be knowledgeable on RSE matters affecting them and surrounding them."

" We have worked with Vicki for years and cannot recommend her highly enough.  She builds strong relationships with the students, making them feel comfortable enough to discuss RSE in an open and practical way.  All sessions follow DfE guidance and she has always liaised with the school to ensure the sessions correspond with the curriculum and students current understanding.  Sedx provides the practical expertise that our students need, delivered by professionals.  We are very confident that their advice and guidance to the students is the most up to date and age-appropriate."

Inspire Academy

"I have worked with James from SEDX for a number of years and most recently we have sought James’ support directly from SEDX. Our learners, like all young people, need clear and accurate advice about sex, sexuality and the dangers and concerns they may face. Our pupils in particular need a careful approach to these topics, but for it also to be very clear and concise.

The pupils have all warmly received the support and advice given in the lessons/briefings delivered by SEDX and are always enthusiastic when they know that they are booked in to return to work with them. Building rapport and trust with many SEND pupils has it’s challenges, especially around sensitive topics, but SEDX staff always put them at ease and work in a positive and calm fashion which works really well in our setting.

Learning about consent and the law is particularly important for our pupils and needs to be very clear to them. This has always been delivered in this way, and the impact is that they have a good understanding of how to keep themselves safe. We look forward to working with SEDX in the future and already have them booked in to return soon."

The Folkestone Bookshop

"We really valued having James in the space - he has such a warm energy and is so knowledgeable about the topic. Our attendees ranged in age and identity but all got something from the chat. James knows how to hold a queer positive space and make people feel at home. Would recommend him to anyone seeking to learn more about LGBT topics."

"SedX provided excellent support to supplement the work within our PSHE curriculum. James was able to provide a service that was personal to our needs as an academy. Within a full day session, we had asked for specific sessions. In year 7 and 8, James was able to provide age appropriate detail of healthy relationships and misogyny, empowering pupils to safely identify what was a healthy or unhealthy influence in their lives. For year 9, the focus was consent, sex and UK law, which imparted an excellent level of subject knowledge for pupils in a sensitive fashion. Finally, our year 10 pupils received the 'First time sex' presentation, which outlined expectations of what a healthy sexual relationship will be like. In addition to this, James was also able to provide a tailored presentation for a smaller group of SEND pupils. This was pitched perfectly, with a focus on Internet Safety, empowering pupils to ensure they know how to identify risks, and manage them safely both on and offline"

"It is so important that we get to express ourselves in the LGBTQIA+ Pride Club.  Some people aren't allowed or able to express themselves at home, so it is a safe space for us.  James is supportive and actually able to understand our experiences AND he is really nice!  We have had a chance to connect with other students who we wouldn't normally connect with, so the Pride group has brought us together."

Year 8 student & member of the LGBTQIA+ Pride Club

"We have worked with James from SEDX to deliver a range of sessions to students across different year groups, and the feedback from both students and staff has been extremely positive. James is engaging, approachable and able to connect with young people, ensuring that important messages are delivered in a way that is both informative and relatable.

In addition to his work with students, James also delivered a staff CPD session which was very well received by colleagues. His knowledge, professionalism and ability to discuss sensitive topics with confidence made the training both practical and valuable.

We would highly recommend James and SEDX to any school looking to enhance their PSHE and RSE provision."
